JAMMU, Dec 15: Churchill Brothers, Shaheen FC and NGR Football Club registered wins in the ongoing 5th Christmas Soccer Championship, which is being organized by Christian Sports Organization in collaboration with J&K Football Association & Jammu and Kashmir Police Department at Parade ground, here.
The objective of the Championship is to help youth not to take drugs and live a healthy life. The slogan of the tournament is “Be Healthy – Don’t Do Drugs”.
In today’s first match, Shaheen FC won the match against Jammu United by 1-0 goal. The only goal from Shaheen FC was scored by Ankit in 14th minute. Jammu United players tried hard to score an equalizer but failed in their efforts..
The second match was played between Churchill Brothers and Kathua FC in which Churchill Brothers won the match via sudden death.
Another match was played between NGR FC and Mussa FC, in which NGR FC won the match by 3-2 goals via tie-breaker.
Ashok Sharma, SSP PCR was the chief guest in today’s matches who was introduced with the participating teams in presence Rajesh Gill, Chief Prosecuting Officer, Asif Gill, Mohan Lal, Yousuf Don, Narinder Gupta and Sardari.
The officiating members of the today’s matches were Suresh Gupta, Rajinder, Ricky, Rocky, Koushal Sharma, Rakesh, Vijay and Dheeraj.
In tomorrow’s Fixture, Vijay Club will take on Shaheen FC from Pool-A at 1.30 pm, while KC Anantnag FC will lock horns with Young Heroes from Pool-B at 2.30 pm.
