JAMMU, Dec 13: Trouncing their rivals convincingly in their respective matches, Shaheen FC and J&K Bank XI will lock horns each others for the summit clash on December 17 of the ongoing 15th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament, organised by All J&K Sports and Cultural Welfare Association at GGM Science College Ground, here.
Today’s first semi-finals match between J&K Bank XI and Pegasus Hero’s FC wherein J&K Bank XI won the match by 4 goals to nil. The first goal was scored by Uneeb in the 31st minute, while 2nd and 3rd goals were scored by Aqif in the 54th and 76th minutes and 4th goal was clinched by Furqan in the 78th minute of the game.
The opponent team failed to net a single goal during the match.
The 2nd semi-final match was played between Jammu United and Shaheen FC in which Shaheen FC scripted a win by 2 goals to 1. For Shaheen FC, the 1st goal was netted by Inder in 17th minute and 2nd goal was scored by Jammu United through Sandeep Rana in the 28th minute and 3rd goal was netted by Sanjeev in the 29th minute of the game for Shaheen FC and registered won over Jammu United.
Jai Dev Rajwal (Prabhari, JK BJP SC Morcha) was the chief guest for the 1st semi-final match, while Ram Paul (Former Minister, President Central Zone, J&K National Conference) was the chief guest for the 2nd match.
Others Prominent members of the Association including Councillor Anil Masoom was the guest of honour in presence of David Mashi, Yousuf Don, Peter, Narinder Gupta (Member Sports Council), Amarjeet Singh, Nazir Ahmed, Vijay Nikhil, Rajinder Abrol and Ravi Dogra (National Football Player).
The matches were officiated by Dheeraj Meenia, Abhishek, Dil Bahadur, Satnam Singh, Aman Banathia, Aman Sudan and Madhav as referees, while Mohinder Kalsi was the Physio.
