DODA, May 18: Shahid Cricket Club Ghat and Tansen Cricket Club Madhya Pardesh trounced Jodhpur Cricket Club and Rajasthan Cricket Club respectively and advanced in the ongoing All India 9th Gufran Memorial T-20 Cricket Championship at Sports Stadium, here today.
The first match was played between Shahid Cricket Club Ghat and Jodhpur Cricket Club. Batting first, Shahid Cricket Club scored 162 runs in the stipulated overs. Abrar scored 32 runs while Mansor contributed 22 runs to the total. For Jodhpur Club, Umar and Nasir Zarger took 1 wicket each.
Jodhpur Cricket Club managed only 110 runs to lose the match by 52 runs. Surinder was the top scorer with 47 runs while Nasir contributed 18 runs. For Shahid Club, Zahid and Mansoor shared 2 wickets each. Mansoor of Shahid Cricket Club was declared as man of the match for his all-round performance.
In another match, Tansen Cricket Club Madhya Pardesh defeated Rajasthan Cricket Club by a huge margin of 132 runs. Batting first after winning the toss, Tansen Cricket Club Madhya Pardesh scored a mammoth total of 225 runs by losing 4 wickets. Sohraab Dahliwal scored magnificent 78 runs while Sharad Singh contributed 56 runs for his team. For Rajasthan Cricket Club, Mohsin and Jasraj shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, Rajasthan Cricket Club bundled out for 93 runs. Ravinder was the highest scorer with 22 runs, while Mahipal contributed 16 runs. Lokesh Chodhary and Piyush Nailwal took 3 and 2 wickets for Tansen Club. Sohraab Dhaliwal of Tansen Cricket Club Madhya Pardesh was adjudged man of the match for his superb batting performance.
The match was officiated by Ranji Trophy umpire Amit Bansal and Sanjay Singh while Rinku acted as scorer.
