KATHUA, Dec 19 : JKFA today conducted the elections of Kathua Distt. Football Association today at Kathua under the supervision of Sh. RK Kohli Treasurer JKFA accompanied by Surinder Singh Bunty, Resident Secy. Jammu wing and Ramesh Kumar, direct member and former international footballer.
Shakeel Ahmed Toni was unanimously elected as President while Rattan Bharti and Mukhtar Chand were elected as Dstt. Secy. and Distt. Treasurer unanimously.
Representatives of more than 10 Football Clubs of Kathua,Bani,Bilawer,Basoli and Hira Nagar. including their presidents and secretaries were present in the election and the election was conducted very smoothly.
After the election all the members including the new distt office bearers unanimously pledged to work unitedly for the upliftment of the football in the Samba distt.
RK Kohli assured the newly elected team for extending full support to them for the encouragement of the game.
Surinder Singh Bunty said that the JKFA is committed to the cause of [romoting the young players especially from the rural areas and also assured them of the full support for promoting the game of football in rural areas.
