JAMMU, June 1: Athletics Federation of India (AFI) has appointed veteran athlete, Sharat Chander Singh as Manager of Indian Athletics team heading for Asian Under-20 Athletics Championship to be held at Yecheon, South Korea from June 4 to 7, 2023.
Sharat, who serves with J&K Police as Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) has been relieved by the Department for the important assignment at national level.
He is presently posted in Security wing of J&K Police and has vast experience in the game of Athletics as a player and coach.
Sharat also holds the charge of General Secretary J&K Athletics Association. After the appointment, Sharat expressed gratitude to AFI for giving him the opportunity.
