JAMMU, Aug 25: Sharda Cricket Club clinched the KPL veteran Cup-18 title at KC Sports Club Ground, Jammu. In the final, Rajeev Sameer Cricket Club was bowled out for just 84 runs, with Amit Wali top-scored with 20. Sandeep Raina led the bowling attack with three wickets, supported by Manmohan Raina and Sunny Mattoo with two each.
Sharda Cricket Club chased the target in 13.1 overs, losing three wickets. Anil Raina scored 29, while Vineet Raina and Deepak contributed 21 and 20 runs respectively. Sandeep Raina also took two wickets in the final and was named Man of the Match.
Awards were presented to Rajesh Khatri as Man of the Series, Puneet Wattal as Best Batsman, Sandeep Raina as Best Bowler and Saksham Koul as Emerging Player of the Tournament. The event, organized by Sanjeev Kant Sharma, Anil Ambardar, and Sanjay Koul in association with KC Sports Club Jammu, was attended by PN Tickoo and other dignitaries.
