Sharda Mata Cricket tournament begins

SRINAGAR, May 12: Save Sharda Committee Kashmir (Regd) organized a cricket tournament at Shan-e-Teetwal Ground, today.
About 31 teams are taking part in the league which will see a few teams taking part later from Gurgaon and Jammu. This tournament dedicated to Mata Sharda is being sponsored by Mohan Krishen Mongha in memory of his late father Jawahar Lal Mongha.
The first match was played between two local teams today and the league will continue through next few months and the final match will be played on September 20 this year.
The tournament is based on interactions for youth from UT and outside J&K to promote tourism and sports amongst youth.
Mohan Krishen Mongha inaugurated the tournament by presenting silver coins to the participants, sending a message of promoting Sharda mission.
