JAMMU, Dec 17: Sharda University celebrated its Silver Jubilee on completion of its successful 25 years.
Apart from eminent dignitaries from the education world, many embassy officials and ambassadors were also present on this occasion.
On this occasion, Chancellor of the University P.K Gupta said: “About 25 years back we entered education sector with a vision that local children should not have to go to South India or far away for medical studies including higher and technical.”
He said that more than 60,000 students of the University are doing well at global level and students coming from foreign countries are contributing to the economic strength of their country after completing their studies from here.
Chancellor of the University, Y.K Gupta said, the institute is affecting the lives of 15 crore people from more than 60 countries associated with Sharda group in one way or the other.
R.P Singh, General Secretary of the Quality Council and the first VC of Sharda University, said, one day this University will mark its name in top 100 universities.
Sharda University’s Coffee Table Book was released on this occasion.
About 15 employees, officers and teachers involved in the group’s journey and working for more than 15 and 20 years were honoured.
