JAMMU, Aug 25: Sharda XI, Pouni Chak Cricket Club (PCCC) and White Cricket Club (WCC) outclassed rivals in their respective matches and entered into the next stage of the ongoing 1st Jammu Cricket premier League Pink Ball Tournament, being organized by Krish Sports and Events at KC Sports Club complex, here today.
In the first match of the day, Sharda XI registered win over Tawi Cricket Club (TCC) by one wicket.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, TCC made 116 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Ajay chipped in 25 runs, while Naman and Vicky scored 19 and 15 runs respectively.
From Sharda XI side, Vicky, Rahul and Rakesh scalped 2 wickets each.
In reply, Sharda XI chased the target by losing 9 wickets. Sagar was the top scorer with 38 runs, while Rahul made 23 runs and Vizy scored 16 runs.
From TCC side, Rammi scalped 2 wickets, while Sumesh and Naman took one wicket apiece.
The Man of the Match trophy was presented to Rahul of Sharda XI by chief guest Vishal Rajput.
In the second match, PCCC defeated Blood and Guts Club by a huge margin of 68 runs.
Batting first, PCCC made 163 runs by losing 7 wickets. Vishal played a splendid inning of 44 runs, while Amit and Sunny scored 29 runs each.
From Blood and Guts Club side, Ayush and Ankush scalped 2 wickets each, while Abhinav took one wicket.
In the second inning, Blood and Guts Club failed to chase the target and collapsed at 84 runs for all out. Sidharth and Ayush made 14 runs each, while Abhinav scored 10 runs.
From PCCC side, Aman was the pick of the bowler with 4 wickets, while Deepak scalped 2 wickets and Vishal took one wicket.
Aman of PCCC was declared as Man of the Match for his brilliant bowling performance. The trophy was presented to him by Ave Kachroo, who was chief guest during the match.
In the third match of the day, White Cricket Club (WCC) smashed New United Cricket Club (NUCC) by 5 wickets.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, NUCC made 82 runs by losing all wickets. Sanjeev made 20 runs, while Sumit Dhar and Hritik scored 14 and 13 runs respectively.
From WCC side, Ajay was wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 4 wickets, while Ravi and Deepak took 2 wickets each.
In reply, WCC chased the target by losing 5 wickets. Minto was the top scorer with 23 runs, while Rahil and Rajesh made 13 and 12 runs respectively.
From NUCC side, Sumit Dhar and Sunder took 2 wickets each.
The Man of the Match trophy was presented to Ajay of WCC by Sunil Kachroo, who was chief guest during the match.
The tournament is being organized under the supervision of Sagar Sadhu, Vishal Rajput and Rajat Sharma from Krish Sports and Events.
