Sharma accorded historic reception at native town

JAMMU, Mar 5: Historic reception was accorded today to newly elected Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) Yashpal Sharma on his arrival to his native town of Poonch.
As soon as, Yashpal Sharma along with senior PDP leaders entered Kanoyian village of Poonch this afternoon, thousands of locals and PDP workers showered flowers petals on them amid shouting of deafening slogans in his favour.
The procession was later turned into a rally at Krishan Chander Park which was attended by more than 15000 people from different parts of Poonch, cutting cross caste, colour, religion and ethnicity.
Amidst shouting of slogans, Sharma expressed his gratitude towards PDP leadership for nominating him as party candidate for Upper House. He said that the State was passing through a critical stage where corruption is at its peak and people were denied of their rights.
“In the prevailing circumstances, PDP is the only party which has a vision and programmes under the dynamic leadership of Mufti Mohd Sayeed, and can give people a relief” Sharma said
Expressing his gratitude towards people of Poonch for showing such love for him, Sharma assured the people that he would work for solving problems of the people.
