AKHNOOR, June 20: Shashi Paul Cricket Club registered 8-wicket win over Muslim Cricket Club to move into the next round of the ongoing 4th Pawan
Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor at Government Higher Secondary School ground, here.
Put into bat, Muslim Cricket Club scored modest total of 106 runs in 19.2 overs. Raja was top scorer with 40 runs, while Ajay contributed 26 runs to the total. For Shashi Paul Club, Prithvi took 3 wickets, while Gosha and Sumesh shared 2 wickets each.
In reply, Shashi Paul Club chased the target in 14 overs by losing 2 wickets and won the match by 8 wickets. Sanjay was the top scorer with 30 runs, while Ajay and Love contributed 29 and 21 runs to the total respectively. Muneer claimed 2 wickets for Muslim Club. Prithvi was declared man of the match for his fabulous bowling display.
