JAMMU, Jan 16: Shastri Cricket Club and Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor registered convincing victories in the ongoing KC Sports Club Tournament, here today.
In the first match played between Shastri Cricket Club and Katra Cricket Club, latter won the toss and decided to bat first. Katra Cricket Club made 107 In 18 overs. Shiva and Henan made 53 and 24 runs respectively. Varun and Vicky Raina took 3 and 2 wickets respectively.
While chasing the target, Shastri Cricket Club won the match by 5 wickets. Vicky Raina, Amit Sharma and Varun Puri made 37, 22 and 22 runs respectively. For Katra Club, Anchal and Rajesh took 3 and 2 wickets resepctively.
Varun Puri of Shastri Cricket Club was declared as man of the match.
In another match, Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor defeated Wave Cricket Club in a close contest by 1 wicket. Wave Cricket Club won the toss and decided to bat first and scored 139 runs in 20 overs. From batting side, Kamal , Jasvinder and Rimple made 33, 31 and 19 runs respectively. Sunil Sharma was the pick of the bowlers, who took 3 wickets, while Sourav Singh, Vinay Singh and Sham Singh Langeh shared 1 wicket apiece.
While chasing the target, Singh Cricket Club won the match by one wicket. From batting side, Rahul Mani, Sumit Sharma and Vinay Singh made 31, 29 and 22 runs resepctively. From Wave Club, Manpreet Singh and Charanjeet Singh took 2 wickets each. Vinay Singh was declared as man of the match.
The match was officiated by Rajinder Singh and Sanju as umpires.
