JAMMU, Mar 1: Shastri Cricket Club defeated Rajouri Bulls by 7 wickets in a low scoring game to advance into the next round of the ongoing Salute & Tribute to Siachen Martyrs T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Parade Sports Association at Parade ground, here.
Winning the toss and batting first, Rajouri Bulls scored a modest total of 105 runs. Nayeem and Faizal were the main contributors with 20 and 19 runs respectively. Uttam and Yasir also chipped in with 12 and 11 runs respectively. For Shastri Club, Vicky Raina bagged 3 wickets, while Vicky Dogra and Sahil took 2 wickets each. Amit and Varun also claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Shastri Club chased the required target easily in 13.1 overs by losing 3 wickets, thus won the match by 7 wickets. Vicky Dogra top scored with unbeaten 47 runs, while Avesh Sharma contributed unbeaten 36 runs. For Rajouri Bulls, Kewal took all the three wickets to fall. Vicky Dogra of Shastri Cricket Club was declared as man of the match.
