Shaurya wins U-10 boys singles title; Sambhavi-Krishika duo in U-13 doubles final

JAMMU, Nov 25: Shaurya Pratham got the better of Udhyan to win Under-10 boys singles title, while the pair of Sambhavi and Krishika and the duo of Pranjal and Unnati sealed the berth in Under-13 girls final in the ongoing 44th J&K State Badminton Championship-2017, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Badminton Association, here.
In Under-10 boys tile clash, Shaurya defeated Udhyan by (21-14, 19-21, 21-15), while Sambhavi-Krishika duo outplayed the pair of Charvi and Ritika to enter the finals and the pair of Pranjal and Unnati defeated Ananya and Harsha in an easy contest.
In quarterfinal matches of other categories played today, the winners included Abhijit, Ibrahim Aza, Sarthak, Unnati, Sandeep, Krishika, Snowy, Sant & Sanyam duo, Utkarsh & Akul, Abhijit & Vidhan and Ayush & Danish.
In league matches, Aesh Goswami, Abhijit, Dheeraj, Sehdev, Yashdeep, Ibrahim Aziz. Vidhan, Sarvapreet, Rashmi, Aesh & Yashdeep and Ojas & Arsh emerged winners.
The matches were officiated by a panel of experts including Satpal Sharma, SAI Badminton coach, Fayaz Ahmed, Amir, Pawanjeet and Vikram Singh Jamwal.
