MENDHAR, July 14: The Sheep Husbandry Department today lodged an FIR against six persons as they have grabbed sheep farm land at Balnoi in Mendhar sub division of district Poonch.
Sources said that Assistant Director, Sheep Husbandry concerned Dr B C Sharma lodged an FIR No. 106/ 2016 against one Mohd Hafeez and five others for grabbing land at Balnoi. These people have raised temporary tents on the Sheep Farm land for which the locals of the area raised hue and cry. This happened about one month back, but the field staff of the area remained silent. The locals alleged their possible involvement.
As the matter came to the notice of senior officers of the department, the AD Sheep Husbandry, lodged an FIR with the Mendhar Police Station against the land grabbers. However, the police action is yet awaited.
