NEW DELHI : Search for new chief of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has begun, a day after Avinash
Chander was abruptly removed from the post, 15 months prior to his
contract was to end.
Acclaimed nuclear scientist and Director of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre Sekhar Basu is said to be the front runner to head the DRDO.
Sources in the Organisation said they were still to receive any communication regarding the removal of the present chief. Mr Chander has been asked to go at time when many of the critical defence projects are facing delays. (AGENCIES)
