JAMMU, Apr 28: Indu Shekhar-a young filmmaker from Jammu city brought laurels to J&K by winning an award in the 2nd Chandigarh Music & Film Festival-2022, held at Chandigarh University from April 21 to 23.
His short film “The Bench” were among the 180 entries ranging from short films, feature films, fictions, non fictions, animated films, music albums and documentaries which were shortlisted and screened in front of guests and dignitaries of film industry such as Vivek Rajan Agnihotri, Imtiaz Ali, Pallavi Joshi, Saurabh Shukla, Gavie Chahal, Abhishek Dudhaiya.
The short film “The Bench” is a beautiful story with a social message on food wastage. The team members of this short film are Indu Shekhar, Rohan Kapoor, Anchita Mishra, Sachin Bamba, Purav Khajuria, Sachin Sharma and Harsh Bindra.
Shekhar’s two short films including “The Bench” and “Sunflower” had already won best screenplay (Student category) award and festival special mention (Student category) award respectively at 5th Chambal International Film Festival, held at Kota (Rajasthan) from April 8 to 9. “The Bench” also won a special mention award at Digital Arts Festival-2022, organised by Film and Media Council at IIT (BHU) at Varanasi from February 8 to 9.
