POONCH, Dec 18: Shia community members today held strong protest demonstration at Mandi town against the killing of over two dozen innocent community members during Friday prayers in Nigeria.
A large number of members of the Shia community after Friday prayers in Mandi town came out on the road and held strong protest demonstration for about an hour. They were shouting slogans against the fundamentalist forces which are working against the Shia community.
The traffic on the busy road remained disrupted for about an hour. Later, police authorities also reached there. The traffic was restored with the intervention of police. The protesters dispersed after some time.
