JAMMU, May 13: Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar, Jammu celebrated the 113th Birth Anniversary of Late Dev Dutt Mengi, the Founder Principal of Shiksha Niketan with great zeal and fervour. Late Dev Dutt Mengi, retired as District Education Officer, was known for his optimistic thinking and love of education.
Subhash Shastri, Swami Hridhyanand Giri, S.P. Verma and I.D. Soni (Former State Commissioner Bharat Scouts and Guides and Educationist & Social Activist) were the presiding guests of the occasion.
Lt. General, Rakesh Sharma (President J&K ex. Service Men’s League), Sanjay Gupta (C.A.), M.K. Wadhera (Chairman Indian Art Centre), Ramesh Trakaroo (ex-Chief Manager UCO Bank), Akanksha Gupta (CA), Nikhil Choudhary (Advocate), Kuldeep Rattan Mengi, Someshwar Mengi and Principals of various schools were the special guests of the occasion.
All the teachers from Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar, Shiksha Niketan High School, Gandhi Nagar, Pushp Vatika, Jeevan Nagar and R M Public School, Chowadhi (Sainik Colony) had gathered there for the event.
Principal Rameshwar Mengi, the RMPS Trustee Rita Mengi, Director of RMPS Rakshan Mengi, Director of Shiksha Niketan Gandhi Nagar and Pushp Vatika Risheek Mengi were also present on the occasion.
The school Principal highlighted the “Academic and Humanitarian Achievements and Contributions “of Late Dev Dutt Mengi. The dignitaries were presented the gifts as a token of respect and honour as well as the Saplings to be planted by the Shiksha Niketan Family.
