JAMMU, May 13: Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar here today celebrated 113th birth anniversary of Late Dev Dutt Mengi, founder Principal of the School.
The function was celebrated by the institution with zeal and enthusiasm.
Principal Rameshwar Mengi delivered welcome address. The function was attended by 600 students with 400 staff members.
The programme started with remembrance of Late Pushpa Mengi, wife of Late Dev Dutt Mengi, who passed away few days back but last year she was an important part of the programme.
Everyone prayed God to give her a place in heaven.
The lamp lighting ceremony was performed by School Principal Rameshwar Mengi and then Kanjak Pujan was done.
There were also presentations of some activities by students (drawing and Rangoli) which were dedicated to the founder Principal Late Dev Dutt Mengi.
Rameshwar Mengi, Principal of the School, highlighted the achievements and contribution of Late Dev Dutt Mengi.
