NEW DELHI, Jan 21:
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) today said Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde has become the “darling of real terrorists” after his statement that the RSS and the BJP are conducting terror training camps and promoting “Hindu terrorism”.
“Today Jamat ud Dawa etc congratulated Shinde. Now he has become a darling of real terrorists,” RSS spokesperson Ram Madhav tweeted.
The RSS alleged that Mr Shinde was helping ‘enemies’ by making such statement.
“It is Shinde who is helping our enemies by such statements. Now even LeT welcomed his statement I am told,” Mr Madhav added.
Mr Shinde, while speaking at the AICC conference in Jaipur, said the government had reports that the RSS was running training camps for Hindu extremists. He also levelled the same charges against the BJP.
The BJP has demanded an unconditional apology from the Congress for Mr Shinde’s remarks.
“What Mr Shinde had said at party’s Chintan Baithak in Jaipur about the RSS and the BJP was unacceptable for which Congress president Sonia Gandhi, party vice-president Rahul Gandhi and the Home Minister should tender an unconditional apology,” BJP vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said.
He said in fact, it was the Congress that ‘encouraged’ terrorists by being ‘soft’ on them. (UNI)
