JAMMU, Mar 5: Shiv Public Higher Secondary School, Sari Rakwalan, Ghou Manhasan Road, Jammu organised Annual Day with pomp and show, here today.
Member of Parliament, Shamsher Singh was the chief guest on the occasion.
Before start of the programme, one minute silence was observed to pay homage to the Pulwama martyrs.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest and others dignitaries, followed by the presentation of Sarswati Vandana by the students.
The students presented a variety of cultural items, the highlights among which were the patriotic dance item and a skit on drug abuse.
The chief guest lavished praise on the school management for providing quality education and also lauded the efforts of the students for their good show.
The vote of thanks was presented by the School Principal, Mehak Manhas.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Chairman of the School, BS Salaria, Managing Director, Shiv Salaria, SDPO Domana YS Salathia, Tehsildar Marh Surinder Singh and Raghubir Singh.
