JAMMU, Sept 29: Shiva Bhagwati Vanquisher trounced Tulmul Tigers by 88 runs while Friends 11 defeated Kashmiri Vikings by 37 runs in the ongoing Kashmiri Pandits Cricket League (KPCL), organised by Safran Cricket Club in collaboration with 3M Home Water Filtration at KC Sports Club, here.
The first match scheduled between Shiva Bhagwati Vanquisher Vs Tulmul Tigers has raised the bar of expectations among all the contending teams.
Shiva Bhagwati Vanquisher made 182 runs by losing 1 wicket in stipulated 20 overs. Manoj scored unbeaten 119 runs off 64 balls with the help of 14 boundareis and 6 sixes whereas Tulmul Tigers bundled out at 94 runs in 12 overs. Surinder Raina clinched 7 wickets in three overs by giving only 17 runs and was declared Man of the Match.
The 2nd match of the tournament was played between Kashmiri Vikings and Friends XI wherein Friends XI trounced the Kashmiri Vikings by 37 runs. Friends XI made 181 runs by losing 7 wickets whereas the opponent team was bundled out on 144 runs.
