JAMMU, Mar 10: The new committee of the oldest and the largest Shiva temple located in Trikuta Nagar, Sector 3, Jammu was constituted today under the supervision of the trustees in which Shubh Chandra Verma was unanimously elected as president.
In a meeting of the local members led today, Rajesh Gupta was nominated as senior vice president, Aman Bawa as vice president, Ashok Khajuria as general secretary, Jyoti Chopra as chairperson women wing while Sham Langar and Raghubir as Advisors.
It was declared that tenure of the committee will be of three years and the committee will work for the upliftment and development of the temple. SC Verma said that the temple committee will do social work besides religious programs besides helping the poor and needy. The newly constituted committee members also took stock of the preparations on Mahashivaratri and expressed their satisfaction over it.
