JAMMU, Oct 29: Creating history J&K’S explosive all-rounder Rubia Syed and gutsy openning batter Shivanti Gupta got the selectors nod to seal berth in the Senior Women’s North Zone T20 squad, while gritty off-spinning all-rounder Sandhiya Sayal has been kept in the stand bys for this prestigious tournament.
Moreover, J&K’s Strength and Conditioning Coach Rohit Rana has been nominated as the trainer for this North Zone squad.
While Shivanti has scored 176 runs with 2 splendid half-centuries and 48 runs in the five innings she played with a strike rate of 88.08, Rubia has scored 145 runs in five innings with a massive strike rate of 112.
Skipper of J&K Senior Women’s team Sandhiya Sayal has taken 6 wickets and topped the economy rate (3.7) among North Zone bowlers.
For his brilliant display in the Sr Womens T-20 Trophy as S&C Coach, Rohit Rana has been named as Trainer.
Surabhi Dhadheechi, Chief Selector J&K Senior Women’s team represented JKCA in the selection meeting.
