JAMMU, May 13: 1st Additional Sessions Judge Jammu MA Chowdhary has acquitted two alleged NDPS smugglers namely Mohd Ashraf and Rakesh Giri as prosecution failed to prove its case.
After hearing Advocate Prince Khanna appearing for the accused, the court observed, “the recovery was not in accordance with procedure as neither search warrant was obtained nor any senior officer supervised the same though recovery was claimed to have been made in the evening by a Havaldar”.
With these observations, court acquitted both the accused from the charges.
