Shooting C’ship to begin at Katra from Aug 2

JAMMU, July 27: Jammu and Kashmir Rifle Association (JKRA) is going to hold the 12th J&K Union Territory shooting championship at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Sports Complex, Katra.
The decision was made during a General House meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Rifle Association (JKRA) under the leadership of President S. S. Sodhi at Amar Singh Club, the statement said.
All the preparations have been put in place to ensure the smooth conduct of a four day-long event, scheduled to be held from 2nd to 5th August 2023. The Association members hailed the decision and said the tournament aims to foster the spirit of healthy competition and promote shooting sports in the region, the statement further said.
Chairman, K.S. Jamwal, CEO Sharat Chandra and Technical Committee Head, Rajesh Virdi shared their experiences and provided advice to participants for the upcoming tournament, emphasizing the importance of smooth conduct and fair play.
Jammu and Kashmir Rifle Association has also formed committees to ensure successful execution of the event and announced Mansotra as the convener of the event.
