JAMMU, July 3: Phallian Mandal police arrested a shopkeeper for selling illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from police post Phallian Mandal conducted raid in a shop and recovered 50 pouches of illicit liquor, which the shopkeeper use to sell among the masses for illegitimate profits.
The arrested shopkeeper has been identified as Harbans Lal alias Secretary, son of Kimbo Ram, a resident of Makwal.
A case under FIR Number 138/17 under Section 48-F Excise Act has been registered against the shopkeeper at Satwari police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas along with SHO Satwari Inspector Manjeet Singh and Incharge Phallian Mandal police post SI Askar Hussain made the arrest under the supervision of SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
