Shopkeepers’ delegation meets Bakaya

JAMMU, Dec 15: A delegation of residents and shopkeepers of erstwhile camps met MLC Vijay Bakaya here today and informed him that the Jagti inmates were facing  acute shortage of drinking water.
The delegation alleged that for last four days the water supply remained suspended in the township and allot the shops to shopkeepers as was agreed in Apex Committee meeting.
Mr Bakaya has urged the Relief Commissioner to solve the problem of drinking water and also allot land for shops to 130 shopkeepers who are licensees and are without livelihood.
Mr Bakaya has also appealed the Government to take immediate steps in transportation of migrant employees to Jammu trapped at Qazigund and other places due to blockage of National Highway.
