JAMMU, Apr 17: Young filmmaker, Indu Shekhar and Rohan Kapoor, an aspiring actor from Jammu city have brought laurels.
At Chambal International Film Festival 2022, held in Kota, Rajasthan two short films—The Bench and Sunflower by Indu Shekhar won Best Screenplay Award and Festival Special Mention Award respectively.
Short film ‘The Bench’ also won Special Mention Award at Digital Arts Festival 2022 organised by Film and Media Council at IIT BHU at Varanasi.
‘The Bench’ is also selected for 2nd Chandigarh Music and Film Festival 2022 which is scheduled for April 21-22, 2022 at Chandigarh.
Renowned filmmakers like Imtiaz Ali, Sourabh Shukla, Abhishekh Dudhaiya and others are expected to be part of this film festival.
A handout stated that Shekhar has made six independent short films till date. His portfolio profile was shortlisted for ‘75 Creative Minds of Tomorrow’ programme held at 52nd International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Goa organized on behalf of Directorate of Film Festivals, Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
