JAMMU, Dec 26: With a footfall of more than 1500 people, the “Winter Carnival Shri Fest” was organized at The Shri Ram Universal School. Enthusiasts from all cross-sections of the society from Samba and Jammu area thronged the school premises and enjoyed the fun and frolic.
Surjit Singh, DIG Border Security Forces, Jammu inaugurated the Fest. Rakesh Dubey, Additional DC Samba was the guest of honour. Both the dignitaries visited each and every stall and interacted with the students manning them.
Shilpa Dubey, Member of DDC Samba was the chief guest for the closing ceremony of the Fest. She took out the “Lucky Draw of Raffle Tickets” and gave away the prizes to the winners.
The mesmerizing performances by the students of the School held the audience spellbound. The local artists like Sars Bharti and the Policewala Rapper flaunted their mellifluous voice. Pearl Verma displayed her talent with the brush as far as the Basoli Art was concerned.
Several spot activities such as Baby Talent show, Painting competition and Mantra Ucharan were also conducted, and the winners were awarded attractive prizes and participation certificates. Students from IMFA exhibited their artifacts which were appreciated by one and all.
Prominent Edu-Leaders including Dr KCS Mehta (Principal IDPS Akhnoor), KL Dogra (Principal, MV International School), Sanjeev Pradhan (Principal APS Samba), Rajesh Rathore (president JSSC), Neeru Puri (Principal, SD Tara Puri School, Gandhinagar), Prabha Jain (Principal, New Era School, Circular Road) and Shashi Sharma (Principal, Bikram Memorial School, Bishnah) were honoured for their outstanding work in the field of education..
The School Management including Sanjeev Gupta (chairman TSUSJ), Rajni Gupta (Director TSUSJ), Col VK Sharma (Retd), Principal TSUSJ, Shivani Vaid Sharma (Headmistress), Apurv Gupta (Administrator TSUSJ) and many other dignitaries participated in the carnival.
There were 19 prizes including few consolation prizes worth Rs one lakh on stake for the winners. Suhani (11045), Raju (361) and Viraj (4402) won the first prize (One Plus LED TV), second prize (Samsung Refrigerator) and third prize (LG Semi-Automatic Washing Machine), respectively.
