JAMMU, Feb 23: Promising opening batsman Shubam Khajuria scored brilliant 131 runs off just 53 balls to help Patel Cricket register a huge win by 112 runs over Janki Cricket Club in the ongoing T20 Cricket Tournament at phalain Mandal ground, near here.
Earlier, batting first, Patel Club rode on a magnificent knock by Shubam to post a huge total of 237 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Shubam sent the bowlers on a leather-hunt and hit 16 sixes and 3 boundaries in his power-packed innings. SSunny Singh also contributed 53 runs off 34 balls with the help of 6 fours and 2 sixes. For Janki Club, Jasmeet Singh and Kapil took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Janki Cricket Club bundled out for 125 runs in 19.4 overs, thus lost the match by 112 runs. Akash Ori and Pankaj Sasan contributed 27 runs each. For Patel Cricket Club, left-arm spinner Vijay Dogra and Madan Singh shared 2 wickets each. For his brilliant innings, Sahubam Khajuria was declared man of the match.
