JAMMU, Dec 24: Talented youngster, Shubam Khajuria showed guts, grit, class and temperament at the time when Jammu and Kashmir needed it the most and help J&K end day-3 of the match of Cooch Behar Under-19 Boys Cricket Tournament at 215/3, still needing 40 runs to surpass Tripura’s first innings lead of 255 runs at Tripura Cricket Association Stadium, Agartala, today.
Shubam was playing on 104 runs, while Zaid was on unbeaten 36 runs when the stumps were drawn today.
Earlier, facing an uphill task of surpassing the first innings lead of 255 runs, J&K openers Shubam and Ahmed Bandey (66) made a partnership of 100 odd runs to set a stage for rest of the batsmen to cope up with the situation. Finally, J&K managed to score 215/3 with one day’s play left in the match. Shubam butchered the rival bowlers with his murderous touch to hit 10 delectable boundaries and 3 massive sixes in his 113-ball unconquered knock.
