JAMMU, July 27: Talented opening batsman of Jammu and Kashmir, slammed an unbeaten century (135*) while representing National Cricket Academy (NCA) Under-23 team against a formidable Assam Ranji Trophy team in the four-day match being organized by Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) at Mysore.
Shubham displayed guts, grit, composure and temperament in his 171-ball knock, hitting 16 fours and 2 sixes.
NCA were comfortably placed at 269 for the loss of 5 wickets in their second innings at stumps on day-2, with Shubham on 135 and Nikhil Naik on unbeaten 58.
Earlier, in the 1st innings NCA Under-23 team scored 204 runs, with Nikhil Naik (78), Ankit Bawne (35) and Shubham Khajuria (23), while Assam Ranji Trophy team in 1st innings bundled out for 158 runs. Veer Partap Singh of NCA Under-23 team took 8 wickets.
