In men’s singles above 35, Davinder Singh defeated Vipan Sharma, Puran Chand got the better of Abhishek Sharma, Sunil Sharma prevailed over Manzoor Ahmed and Sham Parshad lost to Narinder Singh.
In men’s singles above 40, Sarvanan lost to Puran Chand and Lalit Parkash beat Chanchal Singh.
In other matches of the day, the winners in various categories included Rohit Gupta, Sanjeev Arora, Sukhdev Singh, Vivek Slathia, Neeraj Gupta, Nazneen Chisti, Daljit Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Vivek Slathia, SS Yadav, Ramesh Sharma, Anil Gurkha, Harjeet Sethi, Dr TK Moza and Balbir Jamwal.
