JAMMU, Apr 29: In view of the current situation regarding spread of Covid 19, Jammu Municipal Corporation is taking measures to stop the spreading of coronavirus by giving special focus on sanitation of the entire city and intensive thermal fogging and spraying has been conducted to sanitize the atmosphere so that the chances of virus transmission to others can be minimized to the extent possible. JMC’s Safaikaramcharies are at the forefront of this effort.
In view of this, many organizations are extending their helping hand to Jammu Municipal Corporation by donating soaps, hand sanitizers and masks etc.
In this series, 4000 hand sanitizers bottles were donated to Jammu Municipal Corporation by Managing Director, SIDCO, Ravindra Kumar, here today.
The sanitizers were donated under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) from Sanjay Mehra, Managing Director Naturis Cosmetics Pvt Limited and Ramnish Sinha, General Manager, Coromandel International Limited. On the initiative of MD SIDCO, the said companies came forward to extend their gratitude and support to the Municipal warriors fighting COVID-19 in Jammu.
Commissioner, JMC, Avny Lavasa extended thanks to the Organization for their donation in this crucial and tough time of Covid-19.
She further appealed to the general public at large to avoid major gatherings in public places and make use of alcohol based sanitizers and masks as preventive measure to do away with this menace and also to extend their full cooperation to Jammu Municipal Corporation so that coronavirus can be stopped from spreading.
