·    Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti opened ‘Roza’ in the middle of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech at Zorawar Singh Auditorium in Jammu University around 7.15 pm by taking water. She saw the clock and took water. In her speech also, she mentioned about fasting month of Ramzan.
·    Modi started and concluded his speeches at all three places including Leh, Srinagar and Jammu in the local languages.
·    “Mandierin de shehar, Jammu vich tusein sarein gi mera irakh te bara bara namaskar,” (In the City of Temples, Jammu, I greet you all with love and affection), Modi siad in Dogri in his address at Zorawar Singh auditorium at Jammu University.
He said, “Tus saare Jammu aale bade kismet aaley oh kyunki tus ma Vaishno Devi De charnein vich roude ho,” (you people of Jammu are very lucky because you live in the foothills of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi.)
The Prime Minister however, was applauded by the audience for making his address in the local language and ending it by saying, “Miki yakeen aai ke mata rani miki jaldi partiye bulag. Tunda mata mata dhanwaad,” (I am sure that Mata Vaishno Devi will again invite me to Jammu and I thank you all).
·    At Srinagar, Modi started his speech in Kashmiri saying ‘Salaam’ and wished people health & prosperity. He concluded speech with words ‘May God bless them’.
·    At Leh, Modi said Julle (Hello) in the local Ladakhi language. He further asked: “whether all people are alright”? Kushok Bakula will never be forgotten, Zojila Mubarak. People clapped when Modi opened up his speech in Ladakhi language.
·    Modi said a tower with seven times more height than Qutab Minar will be raised at Zojila to remove carbon dioxide and give fresh air in the tunnel.
·    At Jammu when Mehbooba started her address, some women shouted slogans in praise of her. However, Mehbooba stopped them saying in the function, only slogans in favour of the Prime Minister should be raised.
·    The function at Zorawar Singh auditorium was scheduled to start at 5.15 pm but it eventually started around 6.30 pm due to extra time in Leh, Srinagar and SKUAST-J functions.
·    The Prime Minister, who was scheduled to leave Jammu at 6 pm for New Delhi, departed around 7.45 pm from the Technical Airport.
·    Sources said during his visit to all three regions of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, the Prime Minister was briefed about Karnataka developments including resignation of BS Yeddyurappa.
