JAMMU, Oct 26: Outplaying Col RN Chopra Cricket Academy by 48 runs in the semifinals, Sidhant Cricket Academy entered the finals of the Under-16 boys Cricket Tournament, being held at Academy Grounds, here.
Earlier, batting first, Sidhant Academy scored 130 runs in 29.1 overs. Ramandeep top scored with 31 runs, while Akshay and Avneet contributed 22 and 15 runs to the total respectively. For Col RN Chopra Academy, Abhishek Abrol and Ayush Slathia were the most successful bowlers, who took 4 wickets each.
In reply, Chopra Academy bundled out for 82 runs in 24 overs. Ayush Slathia and Sarthak Peshin were the only two batsmen who crossed double figure mark, scoring 12 and 10 runs respectively, while Paras Khajuria and Aditya Uppal contributed 9 and 8 runs respectively. For Sidhant Academy, Avneet scalped 4 wickets, while Pavit Singh Ishar bagged 3 wickets. Rohit, Ramandeep and Sunil claimed one wicket apiece.
The Tournament is being organized under the supervision of Rakesh Basin, Zabeer Ahmad, Sukomal Ganguly and Deepak Dogra.
