JAMMU, Nov 5: Sidhant Cricket Academy-A defeated GD Goenka Public School by 19 runs in the ongoing Col R N Chopra Memorial Challenge Cup Cricket Tournament at IIIM-CSIR ground, here today.
Earlier, batting first, Sidhant Academy scored 126 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Chitwan Anil Swaraj played a brilliant innings of 33 runs, while Jatinder Pal Singh and Jivtesh contributed 21 and 13 runs to the total respectively. For GD Goenka, Piyush and Hridhay took 2 wickets each.
In reply, GD Goenka scored 107 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs, thus lost the match by 19 runs. Sartyam Raina, Pitamber and Anish Pandit contributed 38, 27 and 16 runs to the total respectively. For Sidhant Academy, Shivang took 3 important wickets, while Karmanya claimed 2 wickets. The match was officiated by Deepak Dogra and Akash Manhas, under the supervision of Academy’s chief coach, Sukomal Ganguly.
