JAMMU, July 22: Sidhant Cricket Academy defeated MIER Cricket Academy by a big margin of 93 runs to seal berth in the finals of the ongoing Hot Weather Under-15 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Kishen Chand Cricket Club (KCCC) at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
Winning the toss and batting first, Sidhant Cricket Academy scored 183 runs in 35 overs. Kumar Dhananjay and Kumar Aryan contributed 36 runs each, while Achintya and Vansh scored 19 runs each. For MIER Cricket Academy, Jugjap Singh was the pick of the bowlers who took 4 important wickets, while Karmanya bagged 2 wickets. Ashank and Aprajit claimed one wicket each.
In reply, MIER Academy bundled out for paltry total of 90 runs in 23.1 overs. Dikshant Kundal (29) was the top scorer, while Aryan Thakur and Aprajit Raina chipped in with 13 and 9 runs respectively. Keshav Mahajan was the wrecker-in-chief for Sidhant Academy, who took 5 important wicketsVansh bagged 4 wickets and Tripjot claimed one.
