Sidhra Scorpions drub Slathia Dabangs by 25 runs

BAJALTA Feb 19: Sidhra Scorpions defeated Nagrota Slathia Dabangs by 25 runs in the Maruti Suzuki Nagrota Premier League Tournament, an initiative of MLA Devender Singh Rana at Bajalta playfield in Nagrota Assembly Constituency, here today.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Sidhra Scorpions scored a decent total of 131 runs, losing 8 wickets in the process. Salman was the top scorer with 65 runs, while Shakeel contributed 25 runs. Anees also chipped in with unbeaten 12 runs. Rajeev Singh took 4 wickets by conceding 15 runs in his 3 overs for Nagrota Slathia Dabangs, while Raghubir Singh claimed 2 wickets.
Nagrota Slathia Dabangs in reply managed to score 106 runs in the stipulated 14 overs, thus lost the match by 25 runs. For Sidhra Scorpions, Anees and Irshad  claimed  4 and 3 wickets respectively. For his all-round performance, Anees was declared as man of the match.
The matches were officiated by Saleem-Ur-Rehman and Pankaj Sasun from the Department of Youth Services and Sports, J&K.
The match was played under the overall supervision of Faheem Tak, vice president Take-1 Channel and Member Organizing Committee.
