SIE Jammu organizes Painting Competition

JAMMU, May 29: Social Science Wing of State Institute of Education Jammu organized a Divisional Level Painting Competition, under the overall guidance of H R Pakhroo, Joint Director (Trgs)/Principal SIE Jammu, here today.
The themes of the Competition were Save the Girl Child; Historical Monuments; Disaster Management and Save our Planet.
The programme was inaugurated by Saroop Kumar Raina, Senior Field Advisor of SIE Jammu who exhorted the participants to participate in such activities which are necessary for the overall development of personality of a child.
Earlier, welcome address was presented by Kulwant Kour, Field Advisor SIE Jammu and In-charge of Social Science Wing.
The paintings were adjudged by Akram Khan, Ankush Kesar and Richa Gupta.
Kapil Dev (9th Class) from GHS (Mand) Udhampur bagged the first prize, while Neha Devi (9th Class) from GHS (Mand) Udhampur bagged the 2nd prize and the third prize went to Anuradha (9th Class) from GHS Chadwal Kathua. Consolation prizes were awarded to Neha Sharma (GHSS Barwal) Kathua, Abinash Kumar (GHSS Smailpur Samba) and Preeti Jasrotia (GHSS Barwal Kathua).
The programme was co-ordinator by Tapasya Sharma, Research Officer SIE Jammu and logistic support was provided by Amita Gandotra and Parvaiz Hussain Bhat.
