JAMMU, May 21: The Language Wing of the State Institute of Education (SIE), Jammu organized a poetry recitation competition (Mehfil-e-Mushiara) in Urdu, here today.
Ten students hailing from the various districts of Jammu division participated in the event.
The participants were welcomed by S L Tengloo, Field Advisor of the Language Wing who explained to the participants in detail the importance of holding such competitions as these develop the oration skills of the students.
The programme was coordinated by Hamida Khatoon, R O, Language Wing.
SK Raina, Field Advisor was also present on the occasion.
Sahkoor Ahmed of Govt Hr Sec School Reasi bagged the first prize, while Dil Khurshid and Yasir Ali bagged 2nd and 3rd places respectively.
Vote of thanks was presented by Alka Sharma RO Language Wing.
