JAMMU, Oct 19: A Quiz Competition in Social Science was organized by the State Institute of Education, here today.
9 teams drawn from the nine districts of Jammu province participated in the Competition.
The Competition comprised five rounds viz History, Geography, Civics, Economics and General Studies. The fifth round was for resolving a tie if any and each round had 20 questions.
The programme was inaugurated by hr Pakhroo, Principal SIE Jammu, who while speaking highlighted the importance of holding quiz competitions.
Earlier, Sarita Anand, Field Advisor Social Science presented welcome address, while Amita Gandotra acted as quiz master of the event.
The team of District Kishtwar comprising Mohd Ramzan, Rahul Uttam and Ashwani Kumar bagged first position, while Shahbaz Showkat, Attar Uslafee and Ramzan Musharaf of District Rajouri clinched second spot, while the third position was secured by District Ramban which included Wasia Jaun, Shazia Javaid and Nusrat Aarra.
The winners were presented trophies by the chief guest on the valedictory function.
