JAMMU, Mar 8: J&K Silambam team won 42 medals in the recently concluded 19th National Silambam Championship in mini sub junior, sub junior and senior boys and girls to be held at Rajapalayam in Tamil Nadu from February 24 to 27.
The players who brought laurels to J&K by winning 1st runner up trophy in senior event and winning 2nd runner up in junior event including 3 Gold, 14 Silver and 25 Bronze medals in the championship.
The winning team was accompanied by Jatinder Kumar coach and Jai Gupta manager, general secretary Kaka Ram, Silambam Association of J&K and Birinder Singh, president of the Association.
