NEW DELHI, May 13: Amid a weakening trend overseas, silver prices fell by 0.48 per cent to Rs 42,592 per kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced their exposures.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in September traded lower by Rs 204, or 0.48 per cent, to Rs 42,592 per kg in business turnover of 11 lots.
On the similar lines, the white metal for delivery in July declined by Rs 169, or 0.30 per cent, to Rs 41,917 per kg in business volume of 605 lots.
In the international market, silver traded 0.82 per cent lower at USD 19.34 an ounce in Singapore.
Market analysts said a weak trend in precious metals in the global markets on higher dollar, weighed on silver futures here. (PTI)
