NEW DELHI, Oct 21: Silver prices edged higher by 0.34 per cent to Rs 38,663 per kg in futures trade today after speculators enlarged their positions amid a firming trend overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in far-month December gained Rs 130, or 0.34 per cent, to Rs 38,663 per kg in a business turnover of 656 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in silver prices at futures trade to a firming trend in the precious metals overseas and pick up in domestic demand on the back of ongoing festive season.
