Simula scripts record win to face KC Sports Club in summit clash today

JAMMU, Nov 6: Simula Sports Club registered a record win of 186 runs over Singh Akhnoor Cricket Club, while KC Sports Club defeated Vishal Cricket Club by 7 wickets today and entered into the finals of the 5th Eid-Diwali Milan Cricket Cup to face each other in the summit clash at Parade Ground, here tomorrow.
The tournament in which 12 teams are participating is being organized jointly by Simula Sports and Vishal Club in collaboration with Jammu Police and Jammu Sports Council. The organizing committee includes Hilal Rather, Ranjeet Kalra, Rajesh Dhar, RP Singh, Anand Tripathi, Vivek Sharma, Saleem Ur Rehman,Vijay Saberwal,Vivek Shekher, Madan Mohan, Sadiq Hussain and Sandeep Manchanda, whereas Rajesh Gill, Chief Prosecuting Officer and former Ranji Player is the Oraganizing Secretary of the event.
In the first semifinal, KC Sports Club defeated Vishal Cricket XI by 7 wickets.
Batting first, Vishal Cricket Club scored 106 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Rajesh Gill was the main scorer who made 43 runs, while no other batsman reached the double figure mark. For KC Sports Club, Ajay, Ishant and Vivek took 2 wickets each ,while Abhishant took 1 wicket.
KC Sports XI in reply chased the target in 17.5 overs by losing 3 wickets, thus won the match by 7 wickets. Amritpal (35), Ateev Sainy (30) and Hisham Saleem (25) were the main scorers. Rajesh Gill, Vishwajeet Singh and Yasir took 1 wicket each. Amritpal Singh was declared as man of the match.
In another match Simula Sports XI defeated Singh Akhnoor Club by huge margin of 186 runs, probably the highest winning margin in local T20 tournaments.
Batting first, Simula Sports Club scored a mammoth total of 219 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. Shashi (65), Satish (61) and Atul (34) were the main scorers. Sunil took 2 wickets, Rajiv, Rajinder and Sahil took 1 wicket each.
In reply, Singh Akhnoor XI bundled out for meagre 33 runs in 11 overs. None of their batsman reached in double fugure. Gulzar took 3 wickets, Vikram, Sahil and Raman took 2 wickets each. Shashi was declared as man of the match.
The matches were officiated by Sanjay, Sandeep Manchanda and Vinod Kandyara.
Meanwhile Rajesh Gill informed that Kuldeep Khoda, Commissioner Vigilance Organization J&K will be the chief guest on the valedictory function tomorrow.
