JAMMU, Dec 9: Defeating Bhavya Bhoomi Private Limited Rudhrapur by 4 wickets in the summit clash, Simula Software J&K lifted the title trophy of the 4th Edition of CII Uttrakhand Cricket Tournament at Selaqui Academy of Higher Education in Dehradun.
Dinesh Aggarwal, Minister for Sports Uttrakhand was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up of teams.
Earlier, bating first, Bhavya Bhoomi Private Limited Rudhrapur scored a modest total of 108 runs in 19.4 overs. Pankaj Pandey (20) and Kailash (18) were the main scorers. For Simula Software, Hilal Rather, Shashi Kumar and Vivek Thappa claimed 2 wickets each.
In reply, Simula Software chased the target by losing 6 wicket, thus won the match by 4 wickets. Shashi Kumar was the top scorer with 37 runs, while Anshuman and Hilal Rather contributed 15 and 14 runs to the total respectively.
Dhruv Mahajan of Simula Software was adjudged man of the match, while Anshuman of Simula Software and Pankaj Pandey of Bhavya Bhoomi Private Limited Rudhrapur claimed best batsman and best bowler awards respectively.
