JAMMU, July 11: The formidable side of Simula Cricket Club thrashed Shastri Cricket Club by a big margin of 40 runs in the ongoing Chevrolet Cricket Cup T20 Tournament, being sponsored by KC Motors Jammu and played at KC School ground here today.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Simula scored a decent total of 165 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Atul Sharma was the top scorer with 43 runs while Puneet Kumar contributed 38 runs to the total. Vishal took 2 wickets for Shastri Club, while Amit claimed one.
In reply, Shastri Cricket Club was bundled out for 125 runs in 17.5 overs thus lost the match by a big margin of 40 runs. Amit top scored with 31 runs, while Arvind contributed 20 runs to the total. Vikram was the wrecker-in-chief for Simula Club, who took 4 important wickets, while Kuldeep claimed 2 wickets.
